INTRODUCTION

Your right to privacyand the protection of your personal data is important to us. SafeLock Wallet is committed to the best practices in privacy, and we will only collect data when it’s strictly necessary to provide our services. SafeLock Wallet is a non-custodial wallet software for digital assets and with a decentralized nature, is programmed to process the minimum amount of data as necessary to provide its services. The information accessed will vary based on our relationship or interaction with you.

We at SafeLock Wallet (referred to here as “we”, “us” or “our”) respect and protect the privacy of those who explore our Services (“Users”) and Users who sign up for and access our Services (“Customers”) (together referred to throughout this policy as “you” and “your”).

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share personal information when you explore, sign up for or access our “Services”, which include the services offered on our website safelockwallet.com or when you use the SafeLock Wallet mobile app, the SafeLock Wallet App, or SafeLock Wallet Custody application programming interface (“API”) or third party applications relying on such APIs (together, our “Apps”) and related services.

This Privacy Notice describes how we process the personal information collected when you access the Services. When you leave the Services, this Privacy Notice no longer applies. Any subsequent website, application, or service you access is subject to its own terms of service and privacy notice (if any) and not this Privacy Notice.

This Privacy Notice tells you about your rights and choices with respect to your personal information, including how you can contact us if you have any questions or concerns. In this Privacy Notice, “Personal Information” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural living individual.

THE BLOCKCHAIN

Due to the inherent transparency of many blockchains, including the Ethereum Blockchain, transactions that individuals broadcast via SafeLock Wallet may be publicly accessible. This includes, but is not limited to, your public address, the public address of the receiver, the amount sent or received, and any other data a user has chosen to include in each transaction. Information stored on a blockchain may be public, immutable, and difficult or even impossible to remove or delete. Transactions and addresses may reveal information about the user's identity, and information can potentially be correlated now or in the future by any party who chooses to do so, including law enforcement. Users are encouraged to review how privacy and transparency on the blockchain work.

USE OF INFORMATION

We use the information that we have about you to provide support and certain Services to you.

We may use the Personal Information we collect from and about you to (1) present our products and the Services to you; (2) provide you with information or services that you request from us, including to respond to your comments, questions, and/or provide customer service; 3) monitor and analyze usage and trends and personalize and improve the Services and your experience using the Services; (4) send email newsletters and marketing emails, from which you can opt-out as described below; and (5) for any other purpose with your consent.

We may use your information to contact you about our products and services that you request and/or that may be of interest to you. Our email newsletter and marketing emails tell you how to opt-out or unsubscribe. If you opt-out of marketing emails, we may still send you non-marketing emails and notifications, such as responses to your support or customer service requests.

HOW WE SHARE YOUR DATA

Information about our users is an important part of our business, and we are not in the business of selling our users’ personal information to others. We may transfer personal data to our service providers or third parties in connection with SafeLock Wallet’s operation of its business, as certain features on SafeLock Wallet rely on various third-party products and services (collectively “Third Party Services”), such as cloud storage, analytics, and improvement of website-related services and features, and performance of maintenance services.

Third-party service providers only have access to Personal Information, such as your public Wallet addresses, to perform their functions, provide services, and may not use it for other purposes. Furthermore, they must process the personal information in accordance with our contractual agreements and only as permitted by applicable data protection laws.

We may also share personal data with the following persons or in the following circumstances:

Business transfers: As we continue to develop our business, we might sell or buy other businesses or services. In such transactions, user information generally is one of the transferred business assets but remains subject to the promises made in any pre-existing Privacy notice (unless, of course, the user consents otherwise). Also, in the unlikely event that SafeLock Wallet or substantially all of its assets are acquired, users’ information will be one of the transferred assets. We may share non-personally identifiable information publicly and with our partners- like publishers, advertisers, developers, or right holders.

Protection of Us and Others. We will share personal information outside of SafeLock Wallet if we have a reasonable belief that access, use, preservation, or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request; to cooperate with law enforcement; to enforce or apply our Terms of Use and other agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of SafeLock Wallet, our employees, our users, or others.

We may share or disclose aggregated Personal Data or Non-Personal Information with service providers or with other persons we conduct business with, including but not limited potential third-parties for the purpose of showcasing the performance of the company. These service providers and other persons may also share with us aggregated Non-Personal Information that they have independently developed or acquired. Additionally, we may combine aggregate information from the pixel tags, and web beacons, with similar data we collect from other visitors to help us improve our Services. When doing so, we do our best to ensure that aggregated information cannot be linked back to you.

Our services may enable you to connect with various third-party services, decentralized applications, and other external platforms (referred to as "Third Party Platforms"). These Third-Party Platforms act as independent data controllers, and processing of your personal data will be subject to their privacy notice and policy. If you are a self-custody wallet user and you choose to interact with these third-party services, your personal information, including your wallet address or payment card information, may be disclosed to those Third-Party Platforms. This Privacy Notice does not cover the privacy practices of these Third-Party Platforms, including any websites linked through our services. A link to a third-party site does not imply endorsement by us or our affiliates. Your use of these Third-Party Platforms and their handling of your personal information will be governed by their respective terms and privacy policies, and not by this Privacy Notice.

SERVICE PROVIDERS

We may contract with third parties to perform functions related to the Services (“Service Providers”). In general, Service Providers will have access to your Personal Information only to the extent needed to perform their business functions but may not use or share that personal information for purposes outside the scope of their functions related to the Services.

Users of the Landing Page, Portfolio Manager, Extension, or Mobile Apps may be prompted to upload images for identity verification when purchasing crypto via a featured Service Provider. To upload an image, the user first selects an image to upload and then provides confirmation to complete the upload.

LINKS TO OTHER SITES

The Services contain links to other third-party websites or applications. Once you click on such a link and leave the Site or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Policy. Any information you provide on those sites is subject to that third party's privacy policy and we are not responsible for the privacy and security practices and policies of those third-party sites or applications.

DATA RETENTION

We will retain your personal data for as long as necessary to provide our Services, fulfill the purposes stated in this Privacy Notice, and comply with legal requirements such as tax, accounting, or legal claims. We may also keep your data for an extended period if required by applicable laws or if it is needed for legal disputes or regulatory matters.

Please note that even if you delete your Wallet or address from the SafeLock Wallet mobile application, uninstall SafeLock Wallet mobile applications from your device, or request that your information be deleted, the right to deletion/erasure of your personal data is not absolute in some circumstances. This is because blockchains are public decentralized networks, and blockchain technology does not generally allow for data to be deleted, and your right to erasure may not be fully enforced.

DATA SECURITY

We recognize that information security is a crucial component of data privacy. We are committed to making sure your information is protected in accordance with applicable laws and our data privacy policies. Although no data transmission, including over the Internet or through any website, can be guaranteed to be entirely secure, we employ a range of commercially reasonable physical, technical, and procedural measures to protect personal data from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

The information you provide to us is stored on secure servers managed by us or our service providers. Access and use of this information are governed by our security policies and standards, or those agreed upon with our service providers. We hold ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 certifications, which demonstrate our commitment to managing information security in accordance with best practices.

If you are a self-custody wallet user, please be aware that your wallet information is stored locally on your device and remains under your personal control. To protect your wallet information, ensure that access controls and a passcode are enabled on both your device and the wallet application. It is important to keep your passcode confidential and not share it with anyone.

OUR COMMITMENT TO CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

We do not direct the Services to, nor do we knowingly collect any Personal Information from, children under 13. Children under 13 are not eligible to use the Services. If we learn that someone using our Services is under 13 years of age, we will take steps to remove any Personal Information from our database and to prevent them from utilizing the Services.

YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS

Subject to applicable law, as outlined below, you have several rights in relation to your privacy and the protection of your personal data. You have the right to request access to, correct, and delete your personal data, and to ask for data portability. In addition, when you consent to our processing of your personal data for a specified purpose, you may withdraw your consent at any time. If you want to exercise any of your rights, please contact us through our online form. These rights may be limited and subject to exceptions in some situations - for example, where we can demonstrate we have a legal requirement to process your personal data.

CHANGES TO PRIVACY POLICY

We may modify this Policy from time to time. If we make any changes, we will change the Last Updated date above. We also may provide additional notice, as applicable, depending on the type of change. If you object to any changes, you may stop using the Services. Your continued use of the Services after we publish or otherwise provide notice about our changes to the Policy means that you are consenting to the updated Policy.
